Mastercard at Eurogold
Mastercard works on the same principle as other card networks: the operator decides whether to accept it, your issuer decides whether to approve each payment. The practical differences for a casino player are less about the logo and more about the card type — debit, credit or prepaid — and about what happens when you want your winnings back on the same card. This guide covers the questions that matter for the cashier.
The set of methods and the limits depend on the operator and your account — check them in the cashier.
Deposit with Mastercard
In the deposit tab choose Mastercard, enter an amount within the limits shown and fill in the card details. Your bank will normally ask for confirmation through its app or a one-time code. A declined payment is usually a decision of the issuer: gambling merchant blocks, daily online limits or a mismatch in the 3-D Secure step. Ask your bank before trying a different card, because a string of failed attempts can trigger the operator's fraud checks.
Withdraw to Mastercard — or to your bank
Some issuers accept payouts from gambling merchants, others do not, and operators do not offer card withdrawals everywhere. If your card is not available in the withdrawal tab, expect the payout to go by bank transfer to an account in your name. Operators often need to see that the card used for deposits is yours before they pay elsewhere — this is an anti-money-laundering rule rather than distrust of you personally.
Proof of card ownership
A request for a card photo or a bank statement is common before the first withdrawal. The usual format shows the cardholder name and the first and last digits, with the middle digits covered and the back of the card, including the CVV, not shown at all. For virtual cards, a screenshot from the banking app with your name and the masked number usually serves the same purpose. Follow the exact wording of the request in your account, and send the file through the account's upload function rather than by e-mail when possible.
Credit cards, interest and limits
On a credit card, a casino deposit can be booked as a cash advance: interest from day one, a separate fee and no interest-free period. That alone can make a small session expensive. It is also easy to lose track of spending on borrowed money. If you use a card at all, a debit card combined with a deposit limit in the casino account keeps the numbers honest.
Chargebacks are not a safety net
Card schemes allow you to dispute a transaction that you did not authorise or that was not delivered. They do not cover money lost in games you chose to play. A chargeback on a casino deposit usually leads to the account being closed and the balance frozen while the case is investigated. If a deposit really went wrong — charged twice, not credited — open a ticket with support first and keep the transaction ID from both sides.
